Jeff Kling is a Senior Software Developer Analyst for an energy provider and an adjunct instructor for Penn State’s online Spatial Data Science program. Jeff’s education includes a BA degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University, a GEOINT certificate from Penn State, and master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State. Jeff’s professional GIS experience started when he enlisted in the Navy in 2004, where he produced Geospatial Intelligence and humanitarian aid products. After the Navy, Jeff returned to Wyoming with his family and worked for the State of Wyoming and later for Laramie County Government. Throughout his career, Jeff focused on developing geospatial processes and custom software applications in written Python, C#, Java, SQL, and the web stack (Javascript, CSS, html).
