Use GIS and spatial analysis to better understand real-world environmental challenges. Through hands-on projects, course materials, and discussions, students will examine issues such as wetland restoration, invasive species, land-use change, forest and climate dynamics, and community exposure to environmental hazards. Students will apply what they learn in a self-directed final project on an environmental topic of their choice.
