My research interests span far and wide, and cartography allows me the latitude to creatively engage with these interests with others. My passion work centers human—primarily children’s—experiences in the world.
Contact Alicia
Alicia is the GeoGraphics Lab Manager and teaching faculty in the Department of Geography at Penn State. She teaches courses on cartography in the online Geospatial Education Program offered by the John A. Dutton Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence. Prior to joining Penn State, Alicia was a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and was a project assistant in the UW Cartography Lab, where she researched and practiced at the intersection of cartography and community engagement. She earned her MS in Cartography and GIS from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her BA in Geography from Humboldt State University. Alicia spent many years working in cartography labs engaging in client, service, and community projects that were rich, varied, and centered on collaboration.
